Bromoenol lactone ((6E)-Bromoenol lactone) is a selective calcium-dependent phospholipase A2 (iPLA2β) and serine protease inhibitor that attenuates nicotine-induced breast cancer cell proliferation and migration, inhibits voltage-gated Ca2+ and transient receptor potential classical channels, and inhibits carrageenan-induced prostaglandin production and hyperalgesia in rat hind paws.

| In vitro | Bromoenol lactone inhibits exocytosis when stimulated using a Ca2+ ionophore A23187, which passively transports Ca2+ down a concentration gradient and also in permeabilised mast cells where Ca2+ entry is no longer relevant. In RBL 2H3 and bone marrow-derived mast cells (BMMCs), Ca2+ entry is critical for exocytosis. Moreover, Bromoenol lactone has only a minor effect on antigen- or thapsigargin-stimulated Ca2+ signalling, both the release from internal stores and sustained elevation due to Ca2+ influx. [1] |

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO
to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.
1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO
stock solution to 400 μL PEG300
and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2O
and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
